The Forgiveness Project
Is there someone that you are having difficulty in forgiving? Perhaps its an ex partner, a friend, a parent, a colleague or even yourself?
What is it about forgiveness, or the lack of it, that prevents us from moving forward?
Why do we think it is even possible to forgive another?
By whose authority might this be done?
Even if we are able to forgive, what does that forgiveness look like?
What does the other person need to say or do in order for us to be able to move on?
What does the word forgiveness even mean? And how are we able to gauge that we have truly forgiven and perhaps in turn been forgiven ourselves?
What words or gestures have to take place in order for us to be convinced?
In short, why is forgiveness so important to us?
What to expect
The Forgiveness Project is a weekend retreat that allows us as individuals, and also in groups, to begin to understand the true nature of forgiveness. The course is delivered by two Interfaith Ministers, Susan Osman and Ann Day. Through a series of exercises, meditations and teachings The Forgiveness Project encourages a deeper understanding of what it means to forgive.
What Is an Interfaith Minister?
An Interfaith Minister is ordained, but not aligned to any one belief. At the core of interfaith teaching is the expression: “Many Ways, One Truth”. All Interfaith Ministers embrace and respect each and every religious tradition having studied all the sacred texts. At the heart is Love, which is the central focus of all faiths and traditions.
