About Ann Day

What is your name and who are you?
My name is Ann Day and I am a director and trustee of Rainbow’s End Foundation.  I spent over thirty years working in fashion, education management, training and coaching, and image and personal presentation in the private and corporate sector both nationally and internationally before being called to do this work.

What is your spiritual discipline/background?
My background is Christian, and although I was brought up in a family where my father was an atheist and my mother was a non practicing Christian, I was given the freedom to think for myself.  I have always had a strong belief and that has helped me over the years and eventually brought me to study as an Interfaith Minister in 2005.  I was ordained in 2007 after studying the major religions, developing my skills as a spiritual counsellor and deepening my belief by embracing all faiths, beliefs and traditions believing that there are many ways and one truth and that at the heart of all is Love.  It was during this time that I met Susan and I realised that my true vocation was to become part of Rainbow’s End Foundation.

What is your vision for Rainbow’s End Foundation?
My vision for Rainbow’s End Foundation is the creation of a world wide network of sanctuaries that will open their doors and offer the hand of friendship, love and healing to all those who are in need, for whatever reason, without cost and regardless of religion, faith, gender, race or etc.

What do you bring to the Foundation?
As an ordained interfaith minister, spiritual counsellor and healer, alongside all the other skills I have, I hope to be able to bring some support and hope to those who have had a troubled journey through life, and to bring relief to help people find their way though life in a more easy way.  As one whose life has been somewhat troubled in the past I can bring a deal of empathy to people’s stories and the unravelling of them.  As co-facilitator of the Forgiveness Project I am blessed to be able to bring the joy of forgiveness to peoples lives and watch them unburden themselves and blossom.

Who do you hope will benefit from the Foundation?
I believe that whoever feels drawn, or finds their way to Rainbow’s End Foundation will find themselves in a place, wherever in the world it is, where they can feel safe, gain the strength they need and recover from whatever life has burdened them with.  The work will exclude no-one, and no person will be turned away.  Rainbow’s End is a Foundation for all and at it’s heart is Love.
